Summerfest

For those of you who don't know, Summerfest is a wonderful art opportunity. Several individuals gather round in tents and booths on the Tabernacle grounds in Logan. Nate recently suggested that I sell prints of my flower portraits for others to buy at 20 bucks a print and 60 for the whole set. I've never sold one of pieces before and I'm nervous that they won't sell. Any ideas?

random postage :)

So.. I haven't been as up to date as I should with this thing. Don't worry, I WILL finish my Christ painting eventually. His teeth and robes are frustrating me and haven't had too much motivation to continue it yet.. But I'll get there I promise. :)

I decided to post some more artwork pieces for ya all to enjoy.

Towel

Holly

Robin

Holly and Robin were live models with the actual lighting in that class. We had an hour or so to plan out and paint as much as we could before rotating. So these two paintings above are just studies. But it offered great practice :)

Jungle Girl: Left side

Jungle Girl: Top side

Jungle Girl was my first (and currently only) figure painting and she is partial nude. No model was used except for my sister for the body shape, but even then the lighting in the painting is all made up. I only currently have two photos of it on my computer and it's not the full painting. So I apologize on that note. Jungle Girl is not the real title, I have yet to give it a title because of the multiple meanings that can come from it. So far, I've narrowed it down to either "Hatred" or "Eyes of Mystery" or somethin... eh. I'll figure that out later.

Creativity is more than you think....

I recently had a birthday and my roommates probably created the best 'cake' that could describe me. It looks so cute!!! I loved it! Since this is my painting blog, I thought it only best to post it. :)

This just in...

It's been awhile since I've posted something... well feels like it anyhow.
Anyways...
I've decided to give it my all this weekend to finish my portrait of Christ. I still need to work on my figure skills, so bear with me on that. But at least I'm trying. :) I'm also going to try to start another piece. From the plethora of Trementon guys that are my neighbors and running into my old boyfriend on the bus this last week, I got this awesome idea to do a cowboy (attractive, might I add) looking over his land on the porch of his homestead. It should be cool.

Upon Request....

Due to some requests, I've decided to post some of my other paintings that I've done. Enjoy!

Running Horses
This was an experimental piece that I did last fall. We pressed, poured, painted the complimentary color and used tape. The goal was to manipulate it like crazy and then attempt to bring it back to the original picture as much as possible.
It's harder to tell with the documentation, but up close the actual texture looks really cool. Almost like alligator skin. :)

Still Life: Child's Toy
Not the best quality of documentation, but it works.

One of few watercolors that I've done. I did it in high school and I don't know what city it is.
