Art, art, art...

It's interesting when you want to be a professional painter, but you're poor. Granted I want to take a step forward in my art life. I want to be better in technique, style and everything else you can think of. But with a dragging summer, no painting buddy (yes, Robin that means you!), no clue about where to start and no motivation to even look for models... what can you do? ;) Haha.
I will say that there is still hope. My supervisor from my program at college wanted me to show her my stuff after I slightly mentioned it in my exit interview with her. I emailed her the majority of what I did at Snow (Thanks so much Scott!!!) and she like them. She emailed me today and said she was interested. My neighbors have seen tidbits of my stuff too and a few of them want me to paint something for them. One offered to buy a piece. I also had a guy friend (who I haven't talked to in forever) offer to buy one. Knowing all of this makes me feel like I've got a shot at this. I know the road ahead of me is going to be hard, competitive and take some critical thinking for marketing, but I'm willing to take it.
I need to figure out pricings (given my rookie status) and sizes, as well as commissioning. But you have any suggestions, feel free to share.
